Since the young age of 14, Eric Ross has practiced, lived and loved magic. His magical journey began when his father rented David Blaine: Fearless, from the local video store, for the family movie night.
"We got home and put on 'Fearless'. I sat patiently and watched, Astounded, as David Blaine amazed and stunned total strangers with bizzare pieces of magic. I was intrigued by the way he opened up thier minds to a world of wonder, as he also opened mine."
Eric began practicing magic, shortly after being influenced by David Blaine's Movie. He began buying props and tricks from the local magic shop, and started performing little pieces of magic for family and friends. Over the next 5 years, of practicing and performing magic, Eric began dreaming up and working out his own magical ideas, and showing them to other magicians. Before he knew it, Eric was being invited to magic conventions all over the United States, strictly to entertain magicians he was learning from years earlier.
" It was my magic peers that gave me the confidence, by the way they reacted to my illusions, to start selling my ideas. I knew it would turn into something good."
Eric sat and thought about what he wanted from all this. Deep down, he knew that he wanted to teach and share his ideas with magicians, new and old, it was just a matter of making it happen. Although Eric loved creating and performing his own Material, He still loved to perform and learn from other creators effects. He watched effects from Daniel Garcia, Wayne Houchin, Oz pearlman, but the creator he respected most of all was Kevin Parker.
" I loved the SIMPLICITY behind his "Hard-Hitting" Effects and Methods. This is what i considered 'Real Magic'."
So Eric, with camera in hand, began recording some of his ideas, and sent them to Kevin Parker Productions. Kevin responded almost immediatly. Eric and Kevin began writing back and forth, talking about ideas. Shortly after, thier minds got together, a new company was born, a company they would call "Illusion Center".

We chose Eric Ross as our Featured Magician of July 2008 for his creativity. You didn't even see the best of his material in the video above. The rest of his work is currently on the market. He's teamed up with Kevin Parker and the ideas are flowing. Just today, Eric shared some of his newest creations with us and we are simply amazed. Keep an eye on this talent. This is only the beginning!
