Review of Nathan Kranzo's Burning Up DVD
By Paul Riego

As a magic performer, you're sometimes a bit skeptical as to whether or not you'd be able to perform the list if never-before seen effects in real working situations. As for Nathan Kranzo's Burning Up DVD (2006), you won't be. Just about all the routines are fit for any worker.

There's one effect called "Fire Coins" where coins would be produced with each strike of a match and then melt away one at a time. This effect alone is worth the price of the DVD! Keep in mind that there are only five effects and two cannot be accomplished without the aid of utility devices. But as a magician, you should already have the necessary tools he uses in your magical arsenal.

Kranzo made a good decision by not putting in any fillers. All the effects are worth watching and practicing. As we all know, it isn't about the quantity of the effects; it's the quality. We've all had moments where we would buy a video, take it home, pop it in the player and see a bunch of fillers and only two or three tricks worth the effort; few worth practicing. NOT THE CASE with Nathan Kranzo's Burning Up.

As for the difficulty, Burning Up is good for those new to magic and seasoned professionals. Great for beginners because of the non-finger-flicking methods, and good for professionals due to the simple and direct plot of each effect. These are good characteristics of a trick for any performer.Get your copy!

Tip Trey

Visual card magic at it's best! Inspired by Karell Fox and Gaeton Bloom, this is one of the most amazing and EASY card supsensions you will ever see.

Homing Tie

At the end of a marathon card routine, a SIGNED selection becomes part of your wardrobe.

Smells Like Aces

The four aces EXPLODED into reality. You wouldn't think that things like this were possible with a deck of cards.

Fire Coins

This one is worth twice the asking price of the DVD! Silver Dollars appear one at a time with each strike of a match. You'll have to watch to see what happens next!

Funtac Inflation

You will freak when you see a penny visually grow 100 times its original size! Then you will laugh when you see the easy method.
