Tom Ogden began his professional career as a magician over 35 years ago, and his magic has taken him to more than 90 countries on all seven continents. His national television work has included “The World’s Greatest Magic,” “The Great Magic of Las Vegas,” and “Magic and Beyond,” as well as numerous commercials. This book has a TON of street magic between it's covers! There's enough material in this book for one to perform as a street magician for years and years! Everything from cards, to levitations, the telekinesis! You're not just getting your feet wet with this book, you're jumping in with reckless abandon. What makes this book even better is the fact that it covers more than tricks. It talks about discovering who you are as a performer, your character, and how to prepare for performance.
The book is awesome. Pictures and side notes are included with the material. Tom has laid it all out so you can easily understand everything you need to know before you hit the street. He outlines the successes of current magicians such as, David Blaine, Criss Angel, Cyril and others, discusses reasons why one would want to perform, and how you can get started. All of the effects are clearly explained and include photos, and the material is current; no rabbits, scarves, and nonsense. It's a wonderful book for those desiring to blow some minds.
